So I tried out Omarchy on a Parallels VM. This was a non-starter. I could not get a reasonable display and slower than molasses. Installed on a System/76 meerkat (Core i3 Intel NUC with some mods) that I bought at least 5 years ago to play around with. Boots great, runs great, but I don’t see the utility. I think DHH and I just approach development very differently. My old brain just can’t deal with all the key bindings.

Taking time away from the build to take a look at my article clippings. I have a bunch stored up to post but the format is different than it used to be since I’m now using the Obsidian web clipper. I am writing some Python code to rip through them.

Approaching build time for our next release. I want it out the door by the 15th. Four independent streams to keep in sync as much as possible. Next time we’ll single stream it. I’m done with this madness.

I might be crazy but I think I’m moving my personal programming projects from Ruby and Python back to Smalltalk in both its Pharo and Squeak derivatives. This could get interesting.

Experimenting again with Linux on my little System76 box. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve tried this and always end up asking myself “Why?”. I crave its simplicity, but I curse it for the same reason.
