Our 3 year old microwave died yesterday. Nothing dramatic, just a broken spring that prevents the door from latching. It’s probably a part that costs less than a cent. Fixing it would run about $350 or more given truck charges and labor to take apart or replace the door. Not to mention the wait times to locate proper parts. It sucks, but it’s faster and not much more expensive to just replace the whole unit. Thanks for nothing late-stage capitalism.
